Idk socially you may get nothing out of them for sure but certain characteristics are def valuable for example Goku and Luffy's resilience ,

shonen has themes of well if you are weak you have to get stronger may seem simple but the desire to constantly get stronger has been a driving force to me everytime I used to go out and hit reps especially when I had huge approach anxiety I used to get inspired by such characters especially deku from my hero academia just trying to improve his powers technique and its efficiency I saw me a lot going out hitting reps and getting rejected but learning from such and just improving my technique, myself and the efficiency of my seduction. I am literally inspired by anime and of course.

Anyway with @Kshatrap A.V. if you ever feel like Shonen is too teenager ish just try Seinen anime you'll find some gems there.
I can relate here definitely. But, my choice would be fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood. The whole story is about something that is super relatable to me cuz If you know about my inner game journey. Then for all these years, I felt like what do I need to sacrifice to get back what I lost cuz I had so much desire for something that I did a few bad things with myself that ended up making me feel like I was done for for life and no mainstream media was helping me and that would begin my journey and right now I am beyond journey's end. ;)

And another genre that I like is isekai cuz It made me realise that new identities can formed if a man is willing is let go and take actions in new directions. We can say that they get powers after rebirth or isekaied but the fact that they decide to take action is something that they decide on their own. And given Pickup is something of a superpower in a way and now I feel like I have power to get better everyday and tbh the only way to form a new self and identity is to use my powers and let go and that is what I have been doing.

I mean you can see it by my recent posts now.

And I do like seinen, shounen but I just filter out shows. I prefer shows which I have masculinity , adventure, harem, etc. themes.

Some examples not yet mentioned...

Kamina from Gurren Lagann to me represents one of the most masculine characters in all of anime.
Gurren Lagann also has great themes about masculinity in general, I've seen guys say they would've been completely different if they had watched it when they were younger.

I agree that anime doesn't have a lot of seduction/social skill models.
There is one I can think of, the main protagonist of one of the best romance anime-- Kare Kano (same director as Evangelion).

I watched Kare Kano around the time I started reading Girlschase, and felt the main character, Arima, aligned with the GC concepts I was learning.
I think Hector talked about how male characters in romance novels embodied seduction principals, so maybe it's similar to that. Kare Kano is a great show too :)

..
As for the most hype seduction I've seen in all of anime/manga... that would go to a scene in Baby Steps (it was more hype than any of the tennis matches the main character won... Made me jump out of my chair...). Not really informative when it comes to learning seduction though 😝.
I have watched quite a few episodes and felt that as well. And saw similarities to AOT as well.

I mean it is funny that he would just call that girl "thunderbutts". lol. Something hard to find in movies

@Kshatrap A.V.,

Berserk (1997 version) is good as far as "hold frame, don't get sucked into anyone else's frame, always be the guy who is walking away." But of course you need to do more than just hold frame and walk away to seduce.

Cowboy Bebop (1998) has some pretty masculine characters in it. The two main male characters, Spike and Jet Black, are both pretty masculine guys. Decent senses of humor and good frame control. Though of course they don't show them seducing (also: Spike has a lethal case of oneitis).

Steins;Gate (2011) has probably the closest to an effective seducer personality (in Okabe, the main character) of any character I've seen in an anime. Okabe:

  • Gives everyone around him nicknames
  • Is constantly role-playing with everyone
  • Constantly makes compliance demands then defuses any resistance to these
  • Is so pattern interruptive with his role-plays and nicknames he throws everyone else off
  • Has absurd confidence that it's impossible to tell is genuine or just him fucking with everyone
  • Basically is always in control of the frame, while at the same time actively sucking others into his frame

Other than that, most anime don't really seem to have very mature ideas of attraction.

Most of it is just like "male protagonist saves female protagonist who then falls in love with him."

Occasionally some of them wrap in other elements (like "woman suspects there is more to man than meets the eye"), but it's never the man intentionally being seductive; it is always just him being an inadvertent Byronic hero as a result of (whatever backstory reason).

Chase
Have watched berserk already. It was @Hector Papi Castillo who recommended it. And it was definitley something that gave me ideas about how to become what I have become now.

And as for steins gate. I have to check it out cuz heard something interesting about it from some other friends as well.

I was in fact thinking about this, regarding some very typical shonen protagonists, like Goku and Luffy.
I rarely watch typical and super famous shounen cuz they are definitely no longer my taste. I tried watching both of these shows but given how much I have gotten into watching another genres and I am more of a Vegeta fan if I ever had to be one. haha.

There has always been talk about movies. But what about animes, cuz I am one of those folks who media consumption since past few years or so has been animes. So, I am really interested to know if some guys here have any recomendations I need to watch. Cuz I want to watch those which have strong masculine/adventouros themes so ever older animes are fine. And they need not to mainstream or liked by public either.

I mean the simple reason being what i watch will influence and I also know that anime has a bit a wierd rep but my tastes lie here.

Note: I would prefer them to be pre 2010 if possible but other recommendations are ok.
Rurouni Kenshin.

Naruto.
Naruto Shippuuden.
(It’s a classic, a bit overrated)

Dragonball Z.
Dragonball Super.

Hellsing.
Witchhunter Robin.

Avatar the Last Airbender.
Avatar Korra.

Frieren.

sakigake otokojuku.

One of the most manliest animes ever.

Crazy that even animes of 1980-90s were far more masculine compared to current ones.

Maybe it's the animation style.

Yeah the cell animation vs digital now. I much prefer cell. It had a warmer more organic feel than the overly bright overly crisp digital of today's anime.

Same as like using editing skills vs putting lot of filters in a photo. It takes out the naturalness and feels 'not real'.

This is probably a useless chip in but anyways
my faves/ classics from wayyy back (90s Manga UK)would be

**Fist Of The North Star ** (epic!)
Vampire Hunter D
Akira (obvs)
Crying Freeman
Golgo 13
Urotsokodoji

I’ve downloaded an old one named Wicked City (I think) that’s a highly rated/cult one. But not yet watched it.

Also…still love the Manga Uk trailer and theme music of that era 🤘🤘🤘

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake

Guin saga. It actually had some influence on berserk.

Sentenced to be hero. I find it interesting, may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Tomodachi game.
