I recently found an article on pennyhoarder and that lead to a couple different ideas:

So buy meat/produce and whatever else from wholesalers, buy in bulk and what have you. The author of the article claims that they can buy 3 months of meat for only 50 dollars. It doesn't sound like they use a lot like I typically do, but still if only 50 dollars for 1 month wouldn't be bad at all for how much I eat.

Then there was an idea I never thought of just to buy straight from farms and ranches. The article preview said that you can buy a whole cow/pig/whatever from them for cheap. I haven't read those pages yet, but it's still a cool idea if it'll work. Anytime you can cut out another middleman that better for you, so I believe it before even reading it.

Then I found some cool stuff about Ethnic Supermarkets. You can buy all kinds of stuff from them for super cheap! And they have ethnic food. Kind of getting a little excited about trying a few different things.

https://www.craftsy.com/blog/2014/03/sh ... n-markets/ ->some advice that extends to the kitchen as well as while shopping. And has an app that will tell you what ingredients to buy if you don't understand anything (like I don't).
http://luckypeach.com/pro-choys/ -> talks about why they're so cheap

I'm still reading about different things, but now I'm curious, what kind of cheap-but-still-good food strategies do you guys have?
