I'm talking about living in units. Next door had a party last night and had left a note two days before letting me know about it. So I asked them what time it starts. I did not ask if I could come.
So two questions:
1. Since a note was left, but no invite on the note, it was probably best that I did not ask to come?
2. Is asking someone out who lives in a next door unit, is that generally a nono? I do have an excuse to go over there ie how did the party go, can I move my car back now, and I could then ask out, or even steer the conversation towards finding out if they are single, or drop a hint somehow, but yeah is dropping a hint or showing any interest way too risky/awkward in a next door unit situation?
