I have mid length hair but they are curly so no matter what I do, I can never keep them pressed or down.

Cuz they starts looking weirder and wilder like a nest as the day progresses.

So, i have to use to hairband to pin them down and give my hairs slick back look.

But, I wanted that my hairs could soften up so that I could style them in artistic way without hairband but it always ends up me looking like homeless.

Cut it short.
Taking care of long curly hair is a daily hassle.
(I know because I did it for 10 years).

Also if it's beyond a certain point of lenght, you probably have to use professional products (they cost A LOT).
You definitely won't find the good shit in the basic session of your local supermarket.

a good date brings a smile to your lips... and hers

I ended up getting a buzz cut. And this time, it made me look really masculine compared to any time i had gotten buzz cut in the past.

If you look good and can rock the style, that's pretty much it.
Used a lot of buzz cut in my late 20s/early 30s, it's cheap and very low maintenance.

Also I feel that it gives you an edge (like "I don't give a fuck about my hair" vibe).
Sometimes too much hair, even when dishevelled, may come accross as try hard if you don1t know what you are doing.

For any hair type, I just make sure no sodium lauryl sulfate or variations in the shampoo... use it once or twice a week. For daily conditioner, no silicons (hard to find). I used to wash my hair with baking soda and adjust the ph back with apple cider vinegar.

I like gurls with curls and it's a good approach anxiety drill to ask about her products. From the last few weeks here are FIELD TESTED (by the girls) recommendations (with my stamp of approval... I only stopped the good ones):

- curl of nature (leave-in)
- aunt jackie's don't shrink gel
- fenty (rihanna's brand; heard multiple times... I think conditioner)
- ouidad
