Last century, I was around lurking on usenet ASF until Ray and the trolls drove us off. I went on to post in Formhandle's mASF (same user name). I interacted with Style, before we knew he was Neil Strauss. I watched as Mystery and others turned their game into money-making schemes and did their best to turn the forum into a dick measuring contest.
My only computer was at my workplace, so I bugged out - the IT guys might be watching. I downloaded and printed out some stuff - notably "Gunwitches Prerelease Copyright 2002". (Hiya Gunny!)
Even way before the 'Net: Ross Jeffery's promo stuff included a quote from a review that trashed Eric Weber's How To Pickup Girls as just saying "Hit on more women and you'll get laid more."
Thing is I never got Weber's book - but I read that very review - and it changed my life. It was like a lightbulb went off. Every day, I approached at least one woman, and suddenly I was getting laid!
I'm here now because a 20 year old neighbor wanted to get my advice on how to handle co-eds and the games they play. I gave him a little basic advice ("Laugh with them at their games. Laugh AT them if necessary."). I looked at my old print outs.
I was thrilled to see this board after hours of seeing Googled "Pay me money and the 10's will flock to you" sites. At first glance, this place is better than what I thought was a golden age of mASF. Congrats, Chase!

It'd be bizarre to wing with him - he's half a century younger than me. Grandma/granddaughter sets? LOL.
