2026-03-08 - I stopped through my fav small town to get a sandwich from a butcher. She sliced some meat for me and I asked where to get some good bread. On the way there I saw a girl walking her dog on the other side of the street. I couldn't find the bakery so turned around and saw her heading towards me a block down.
I waved and asked for a fav. She smiled and was the least skeptical I've ever seen. I asked her where the bakery was (good one @Chase). She didn't know so I started deep diving too early. She was probably early 30's yet has extremely plump lip fillers I've never seen on someone. Her fingers were covered in Hindu tattoos despite being white, huge spiral thing on the back of her neck, tats in the ears, etc. Super skinny! Actually very pretty. Natural, no makeup despite the lips.
She had just moved here from way up north after a 5 year relationship and was a reiki practitioner slash hairstylist who was consulting for a local wellness place since her business had been so successful.
So I got her to come walk her dog with me since she's living in a small town now and should know where the bakery is, right?
She also was out without a phone on her. I qualified her on being spontaneous and adventurous, and built similarity through relating about the energy of the business she was helping, law of attraction... She was extremely wide eyed like doe a deer attraction. Doggy dinner bowl?
Anyways I went into a pub to ask the host where it was while the girl waited outside with her dog. The hostess was leaning down to lick something at the stand I said busted! She said you got me... I think it was coffee foam or something. So she told me where to go and said say hi to the owner for her.
I had to street stop some kid to ask him where the bakery was since we hadn't hit it yet. It was actually pretty far getting into the outskirts so she wanted to bail.
I asked her if she had condiments at home and said I'd split my sandwich with her. She chuckled and explained she was just out of the relationship and not ready. But she said she'd give me her number and to reach out when I passed through again. She had actually brought up before that I should come back and see her at the store a bit before.
I told her I've always been single and like to connect with people. Her eyes lit up at this. I persisted a couple times, but she seemed to legitimately have some stranger danger (and said so). It was probably 10 minutes to pull attempt. When I said this stuff I could see her getting doe eye again and got a submissive eye contact break as well.
She introduced herself at this point and I took her hand. She kept it in mine while still talking, completely with zero pulling or anything. With a longer comfort phase it could have fucking happened. I have plans with someone else today I haven't seen in a while it would be really rude to bail on, so that's my excuse.
She pulls out an envelope like a birthday card and writes her number and Instagram. I tease her for giving me the whole envelope and write my name and number on the flap and tear it off for her. Good thing I had a pen in my coat.
I ask if I can kiss her and this is where I see the exact lack of comfort despite high attraction. I counter proposed a cheek kiss since it was so cool running into her and had to do it. She let me cup her face and had this look like I was about to tickle her or something. I gave her a long but light kiss on the cheek.
I accidentally caught her long elaborate earring with my hand and she laughed teasing I was trying to pull it. I said no but I would pull her hair though (low in her ear). I parted and swept my hand under her braid releasing it at the end as she stared in my eyes and we parted.
I got to the bakery and it was closed. So I went back to the pub and asked for her second fav. She came outside and pointed me a different way. She was sorry it happened but I told her I got a cool girl's number and showed her the envelope. She said she loved that story.
I asked if she was single and she said no.
