@sinksink basically no, never! You will lose man points and although some girls would like to comfort you and you may be able to work it I wouldn't use this as a tactic :')
There are a few exceptions, if a relative like a parent were to pass it is perfectly fine to be emotional and upset when you hear this news. If your watching something that hits a nerve like this you could possibly get by. Usually speaking if ya watching a movie with them you have been with them a while and this 'blip' of being emotional will be forgiven but again avoid it the best you can dude. It looks weak
