Thursday I have the chance to do to a speed dating event in Bucharest. I am 99% I shall be selected, but I doubt if it's worth it.
Why? Because I can do street pick-up which is sweet alternative (I almost cancelled a meeting with a friend so I can approach). Last Friday, when I did that, I approached 7 girls and, if I weren't to miss any, I could have easily go to 14. No, I didn't get any numbers yet, but the approach anxiety is gone and I am figuring out a way to consistently have a conversation for a few minutes, before going for the close.
On the other hand, on this event somebody brings the girls to me and I have a few minutes guaranteed to talk to them so this part is taken care of. But, I have competition, thing which is lacking on the cold approach.
So... I don't know is speed dating is a viable option, given the fact that I can approach girls myself, in slightly harder circumstances.
