The League dating app might be one of the best ideas out there.

I recently decided to give it a try and realized that there is a long waitlist to even be accepted by the app. After talking to the mod on there, I was informed that it depends a lot on the ratios in your city, I think this could make the app one of the best options out there.

IMO, the biggest problems with a lot of dating apps is that guys outnumber girls 70:30, this makes it very problematic to have success on places like Bumble for most men because women are having to swipe through tons and tons of guys. On top of that, guys are also very aggressive and forward on these apps, especially Tinder, which creeps girls the fuck out. I think it is brilliant for an app to put a heavy amount of control on how many guys can enter, a 50:50 ratio is decent but I would love for it to be flipped.

I like that the League is exclusive to where you have to have a quality profile to get in, that way some trashy neckbeard or loser perv cannot force his way into the app as easily.

Now add in events that come with the app as well as common get togethers, this could make the app quite the player and even revolutionize ways that dating apps are made.

I will keep everyone posted with how my progress goes on the app, profile has yet to be accepted.

Your thoughts.

Oh Pry,

I'm aware of this app as I have a few friends that are on there (including Grand Pooba).

None of my friends have a huge sample size yet, but there does seem to be an issue with it: although there are good ratios on The League, the problem is with the premise of the app itself: it inspires women to be looking for Providers on the app since the app is mostly supposed to be about status/career.

It seems like the women you'll talk to through this app will be analyzing your career and your social value, and they may avoid sleeping with you if they deem you "worthy" of dating (since they have evaluated you as potential husband material).

I need more data here, but this is something to consider before we praise the app too much. :)

I got accepted on the app once I left NYC and put myself in a different city. At first the matches were good, but after about a month or so the leads went flat. I'm not honestly sure why, because I didn't change my profile at all.

This has been my experience with women I met off The League.

This probably goes double in a place like NYC where there are a bazillion guys with quote unquote "status," like too much wealth, or whatever the fuck they do lol. So I'm sure most NYC men flooded that app quickly.

I almost wonder if Tinder is better specifically because of the 'neckbeard' and 'loser pervs'. Seriously, all of the shitty profiles on Tinder and then a woman comes across mine? Must be like an oasis in the desert....

That's my initial thought though, never used The League.

I had the same experience with Bumble where it seemed most of the women were lawyers/doctors and if you weren't in a high status profession yourself and/or were a GQ model then it was a waste of time to even bother.

Plus Bumble is entirely built on the faulty premise that women should be the ones who make the first move, something that would guarantee the extinction of the species within two generations if it happened in the real world.
