Wish there was a way to get new blood. Kinda funny Jamster's neighbor wouldn't join the forum. PUA seems to still have an image issue.
My neighbor, a 20 year old virgin, was also appalled that I referred to dry years I had before starting to approach as "incel hell." He thought of incel as a cult of incredibly misogynist men plotting terroristic activities.
He didn't even realize that it just meant "involuntary celibate," and that the term fit him.
And indeed the "incel culture," along with "PUA hate," seems to follow the pattern where some people pride their identity on their particular neuro-divergence.
I worry - if he broadcasts that I tried to get him involved in PUA culture it would not help my reputation one bit.
A woman I know who is relatively open-minded talked about how an actual rock star, when courting an acquaintance of hers, told the woman that he'd love to pursue things with her but was not going to commit to monogamy. My friend was unable to process that behavior as anything other than "super sleazy." (me: "sleazy would have been telling her AFTER they slept together.")
There is this culture of acceptance of polyamory, but at the same time, being incredibly judgmental towards men actively pursuing what they want.
