couple days ago I stumbled upon an article based on a research from University of Toronto showing that people can guess your socio-economic status. The article is here. If you do not have the time to read it, I will list out the findings. They key thing to mention is that the method was just showing pictures to students and they were guessing based on their gut instinct.
You can try it for yourself in the picture bellow... at the end of the post, I put have the answer which faces indicate which social class.
While this is most likely nothing new... I believe this is something that can hinder someone's chances without them even knowing.
A and C = rich
B and D = poor

- neutral expressions showing signs of happiness and satisfaction = rich
- neutral expressions showing signs of sadness and unsatisfaction = poor
- emotion mask this - so if you are really poor or unsatisfied with your life, show some emotion, smile more etc.
- readable on people since their 18-22 year of age
categorized as:
x < £46,000 = poor
x > £77,000 = rich
