3rd date without nothing happening - what to do next?

The first date was a short coffe, and didn't go for the kiss following this website's suggestion, but neither could have I invited home because of time constraint.

The second was actually the same, again a short one with time constraint.

The third one, I invited home but she said she had to go back.

Now the point is: as much as I think she (still) does like me, we went out 3 times and absolutely nothing physical happened -felt a bit of an idiot not going for a kiss out of 3 times-.
And my last invite has been thwarted.

Well, truth to be told I've already sent a text cutting to the chase and proposing to "watch that movie", but since it was a new situation, how would you have moved forward from here?

Nothing strong, no.
On the other hand she's young and inexperienced. And we've met in public places mostly, so I wouldn't have expected any strong signs.

The second time she hinted on something we could have done together though.

Yeah, it sounds like the second date is where things went awry here. Generally you don't want to follow one coffee date up with another one. If you're going to go for date compression, the second date generally needs to be something exciting/better/more stimulating than the first, unless she seemed extremely sexually enthusiastic on the first date. It didn't seem that was the case here.

Here's a review on Chase's advice for using date compression:

I agree, most likely.
And I wonder, could have things gone better if I had at least kissed on the second meet up?

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake
