Had an hour and a half before an Awards Ceremony last night. Decided to go to a new taproom and have a beer. It was crowded and there was an open seat next to two women talking at the bar. I asked if it was open and they invited me to take the seat. I ordered a beer and some popcorn and began chatting with them. A was a black/Filipino in her 30's I'd guess who was born in Hawaii. She works in music instrument sales. M was her roommate, a WASP high school English teacher that grew up in Kansas who was divorced after a 1 year marriage. They live about 30 miles away and were in town beer tasting. So I chatted about music and Hockey (was on TV), and Summer gigs for teachers). A was next to me, M was my "type" M got most of my eye contact.
They were quite engaged talking with each other. I butted in to their conversation. Rather than snub me, A opened up her body language and even initiated a few arm touches, and a leg caress. Time came for me to leave, and A says to me "FT, I think we should be friends." She puts her phone down on the bar, points to it and says" Number please". I gave her a hug goodbye after entering my name and number.
Today at noon I get a text "Hello FT this is A. It was nice meeting you at HH taproom. I think we should do it again sometime!"
Now this is the first black girl that has ever given me any attention at all. I'm torn as to whether I should string her along in to friendzone or cut it off now. I gave her my number just to see if she would text. Well that question was answered...
