As I approach the world of dating and mating consciously and scientifically, I am starting to realize that it really is a long journey where you improve step by step. That if you really want to become good at it you must start paying close attention to a lot details you never thought of before. Pay attention to things you already do, nurture the good ones, let go of the bad ones. Accept failure, don't get excited when you have a success, and also deal with things about yourself.

It's like learning to play an instrument or a new language. You can't become a good guitarist or speak perfect japanese in 2 weeks. It takes the time it takes.

This website is being a great help, but it's really a personal journey that's probably different for each one of us.

The temptation for quick fixes is strong, but I am realizing it is counter-productive.

Well, I just wanted to share this thought.

PM,

All good realizations to have, bud. Some guys overlook the fact that this is a journey and NOT a magic bullet to success (which doesn't really exist). Once you accept that it's a journey, you can start treating it like a journey. =)

Cheers,

PrehistoricMan,

Sure right!

Throughout my career in seduction, what really kept me going is that I felt I was always on the cusp of achieving a breakthrough. Kind of like gambling, I guess. If you just keep playing, eventually you'll start winning. Except in seduction, if you start winning, you'll reliably continue to win.

You may find this comment on the stages of learning PU by Chase insightful - its found in the first entry of my current journal: All Them Girls Be Chasin': A PrettyDecent Journal

PM, Absolutely
Since first checking this site out, there have been many stages. At each point I would think "oh ok, now I get it" only to later figure out later how wrong I was. After a while of this happening, I've come to see what a long-run process it is, and now it's just enjoying the improvement process as it happens, and not sweating failures.
