I use the word AMOG but I think I can also use it to describe guys who are generally looking to start shit or make a move on a couple that involves a hot girl with her boyfriend, sure all of us know what an AMOG is.
I've noticed over the years that AMOGs are the absolute worst and even prominent in areas that have these sorts of characteristics:
1. A very image conscious or just a vain culture (good example would be Dallas, TX with its 30k millionaires or Toronto in Canada) where people are all trying to look cool and climb the social ladder.
2. Lack of truly attractive women. You might get a good bit of 6s and 7s but 8s, 9s, and 10s are relatively rare.
I feel that when you have these 2 traits in an area, you have the perfect storm for a place where AMOGs exist in high numbers and are generally more aggressive to where you might even have to fight one. Now I think that when you just have one of those things in an area, things aren't all that bad. You can have an image conscious area where there are a lot of attractive women and AMOGs won't be that bad, they won't feel the need to really go after a couple that is out on a date. You can also have an area with a lack of attractive women but one that isn't too obsessed with image, won't have to deal with as many AMOGs there either.
The main reason I feel like guys resort to AMOGing other guys is because of a lack of opportunities with attractive women (due to not that many of them being there) mixed in with this social pressure to be cool which exists in some places. Once that happens, guys get desperate and resort to AMOGing so aggressively that you almost have to fight them.
