I met a woman a few months back and we've been occasionally bumping into each other in the interrum time. She's pretty unusual, in that she doesn't act like, say, 99% of other women I've met. I've generally always found pretty easy pickings whenever she was around, and since I always got a "something isn't quite right" vibe from her, I never pursued things, but I met her again last night and it ignited my curiosity.
Most women I meet seem to fall into a sort of "inexperienced with men, not a lot of control over their emotions, receptive to being lead" camp. I'd say probably 60% of the women I meet, and maybe 80% of the women I get together with.
The next biggest group would be the women who are bitter and superficially not at all interested, even though this is often a facade. It takes persistence, ignoring their aloofness, capitalizing on whatever interest you see, and otherwise just manning up to make things happen with them.
After that, you tend to bump into the high on herself, arrogant types who might display interest, but who are more into themselves than any guy. These girls tend to have the most control over themselves in some ways, but seem respond well to overt displays of dominance.
All of these women I have some idea of how to handle.
This girl, however, is very different.
She:
1. Exudes warmth like nobody's business. She just seems like a thoroughly nice, caring person.
2. Is very confident and physically flirty towards men. The second time we met, she sat down next to me and laid her head on my shoulder. When I glanced over to her, she smiled real big.
3. Is pretty dismissive of her boyfriend. Not in a mean way per se, she just seems to kind of ignore how he would feel about her, say, feeling and chatting up another guy right in front of him.
She's not so flirty with EVERY guy, but I'm clearly not the only one in the world she's like this with, so I assume this is a regular behavior of some kind on her part.
So, I'm seeing pretty deep-seated confidence, with very little trace of overt arrogance, a lot of at least surface level warmth, juxtaposed with what seems to be kind of...unusual behavior towards the men who are bigger parts of her life.
It's a combination I don't recall seeing before. I don't know what to make of it.
Any guys who've gone down that road have any insight into this woman's psychology, vis a vis Chase's "girl type" descriptions?
