Hey guys,
today sth off-topic: I think due to all the nightlife and nightgame I did in my life over the last 6 years I developed addictive behaviours around alcohol and cigarettes for around the last one or two years. Was going out like 5 days a week recently but the goal had shifted from getting girls more towards getting the dopamine rush from alcohol. 3 days ago I started taking around 6mg of CBD in the evening and the results are amazing. Alcohol doesn't give me a kick anymore, while still making me a bit more loose. Also I don't have hangovers anymore and cigarettes as well lost their appeal. I still get a bit of cravings for both, but my brain realizes pretty quickly it doesn't get me high anymore so I usually just throw away the cigarette after I smoked half of it and it almost feels like I have to force myself to get drunk.
If you're interested in this topic check out the CBD subreddit, there's a number of stories like this how people stopped drinking, smoking or even harder stuff like opiates after taking CBD.
The science behind this seems to be the endocannabinoid system. Extensive drug and alcohol abuse seems to deplete this system, which puts your brain into perma-anxiety and stress. Taking CBD reverses this in a matter of days. Very fascinating. https://echoconnection.org/clinical-end ... eficiency/
The endocannabinoid system is the one that keeps your brain in balance (homeostasis).
