Age difference

Curious how the Elder Gents here feel about what their lower age limit is.

The "Old rule" of 1/2 your age plus 7 as the lower limit. Does that hold true for you?

1/2 x 40 = 20
20+7= 27

27 is the "lower limit" for a 40 year old in this scenario. Whaddya think?

Personally I'd have a real hard time relating (at 40) to someone much younger than 25.

First there is links to a two part article by Chase on this subject. Read them in order. Part two had a big impact on me. I am 56. Now for my feelings on the subject. There is a maturity that occurs around 25 for most people. The brain is not completely grown until we are 25. I don't understand the science but when this occurs we mature emotionally. That is why you have trouble relating to younger women. I will say that some women reach the emotional maturity sooner. I have know several. Also when the younger women are away from younger people they act more mature. If I were looking for a girlfriend I would want someone 25 and older. If I am just after sex the younger women come into play. I feel if the young lady is interested in you then it is fine to pursue her. Of course keeping it legal.
