For those of you who read my journal, I said I would experiment with AI pictures on dating apps this year.

The process :

-Create an avatar on PhotoAI (requires a paid subscription)

-Change the base prompt, which is terrible, and add my own

-Generate a few dozens pics with various prompts, test the best on Photofeeler

-Create a profile with 3 IA pictures which receive a score of 9+ on Photofeeler, and 1 regular group picture from real life rated 8.8 (AI still struggles with group pics and it's important to have at least 1 real pic to not scam the girls)

-Upload this profile to several dating apps and purchase a paid subscription for each

Results :

Before adding the AI pictures, I had a few matches a week, enough to get dates but the quality was inconsistent. With the IA profile, I get dozens of matches a day, including hot girls. I'm currently traveling so I was able to compare how it works in different countries.

In Eastern Europe, I went from zero matches to a few per day, and got 4 dates and 1 lay in a week

In Dubai, I got dozens of matches immediately, mostly with prostitutes. I got 2 dates in 5 days with normal girls who didn't ask for money. Keep in mind this is a competitive dating market where girls are used to male attention and basically expect the man to spend $100 or more each date.

In a third world country, I straight up had absloute abundance. I laid 7 girls in a month, including a pageant winner, a stripper, and the daughter of a CEO. I could just pick my favorite girls, go on a date, and more often than not, bed them. When I visited the third world before, I also got a lot of matches but not with top girls. So in that case, AI pics improved the quality of matches, and not only quantity.

Now I'm in India and got 7 dates and 1 lay in 2 weeks. This also a competitive dating market btw (even if local girls do like European men)

Girls didn't comment about my pictures or anything, they just never suspected a thing. Closest call was from a girl I already converted at the time, who said I had a different vibe in real life. That's it.

Conclusion :

I initially learned prompting for fun, but it paid off big time for online dating. I would say it's as close to a magic pill as you'll get. Of course it's not completely free, you need to learn a skill, have 20-30 decent dating pictures on hand to build the avatar, and it costs a little bit of $ for the photofeeler tests, but the results are worth it.

I give it 6 months before the mainstream catches up to the fact that AI completely breaks online dating, and it either gets banned completely (difficult because AI leaves no trace), or girls start to learn how to recognize AI generated pics. Have fun in the mean time ;)

Could be causation correlation cause you are traveling..... It will look too fake, @TomInHo I asked him about this, he said natural will perform better, more optimal...

I tried before and after in the same country and got better results with AI.

I agree with you that using just any AI generated pic would be worse. You have to use a good negative prompt to have a realistic picture, and I also tested the pics on Photofeeler (where real girls evaluate your pics based on attractiveness). My normal pics have around 7.5/10 on photofeeler, some IA pics got low scores but the best reached above 9. It's kinda like doing a professional photoshoot.

Just an FYI for people who haven't dived too deeply into the world of AI, more specifically AI for generating photos. It all depends on how large the data-set is and how well "trained" the AI is but there are some very sophisticated AI's out there that generate pictures indistinguishable from real life photos. The scary thing is that there are also sophisticated video generating AI's but the ones I have seen only produce like 10-20 second clips. Those are also extremely realistic and indistinguishable from real video footage. In like 5 years this is going to get out of hand...

OP I have a question. Does the AI photo generator you use for ur profile actually use your face and likeness or are you using a fictitious person for your photos on your online dating profile?

It's trained on my face. PhotoAI uses 20-30 photos of yourself to train, and the generated pictures really look like myself. And there is always at least 1 real picture of me in the profile.

I suspect PhotoAI just creates a LoRA from your pics, the whole thing feels pretty basic. I will create my own setup later, I have stable diffusion installed. If I manage to create a better product, maybe I can make money from this lol

Lots of people in the business world doing this to get really good headshots and stuff now.

I suspect this will become very common on dating sites here soon.

Already seeing some guys do it but they don’t just have AI make cool pics of them, they have AI make them slightly more attractive too. You just know a lot of social autistic guys will abuse this and give themselves chiseled jaws and abs when they don’t have them.

What do you suppose women will do when the third guy in a row they meet up with looks NOTHING like the pics? Idk.

Even real time video over FaceTime and and the like can be massively faked now. AI is going to change so much in the social world.

Been experimenting with PhotoAI myself. Got a few nice pics out of it, but so far they don't feel fully realistic to actually use them for anything. There's just something slightly "off" about them, like tiny details that aren't right.

What key words did you find worked best for the positive and negative prompts?

Positive prompt : positive qualities you wish to convey with your pictures. My favorites are edgy, attractive, professional photoshoot, cool. My best results were with "waterfront background"

Negative prompt : a lot of negative keywords like blurry, unatteactive, deformed, extra fingers etc ... Photo AI doesn't have one by default but it's very important

Generating pics is only half of the work. After that, you want to test them on Photofeeler. The goal is to get zero "photo seems abit artificial" and also get 9 in attractiveness

@Warped Mindless yeah I already see girls using IA too. It's definitely going to be more common in the future

There's an app that's way better than photofeeler for dating-pic rating called Wingman. It gives in-depth critiques roasts of your pics, along with a rating. It also upload. I've overhauled my dating profiles with it and I've gotten more matches (photos are everything in online dating of course)

(neither of these pics are me btw)
