Amused Rejection

I am walking down the sidewalk, and I see this (very cute) girl kinda smiling at me.
I am not really out for gaming so I come up with the first thing that comes to mind: "Excuse me, but I have to tell you: you are stunning".
She doesn't answer with a word but rather says "hm hm" (like when you want to say no) while chuckling.
I make it more playful: "I just saw you and thought 'woow, I gotta meet her' "
She continues with the silent treatment + chuckle.
I tell her "have a good day" while offering my hand for her to shake it.
She shakes it, and says "good day".
As I walk away I still hear her chuckling.

Nervous/shy chuckle?
Genuinely amused chuckle?
Treating me like a clown and making fun of me?
Not really a rejection and I should have continued talking? (During the day, I suck at insisting if they are not at least talking a bit back... makes me feel like an harasser and worry some outsiders may intervene)

Yeah seems like you ejected too early here.Should have stuck in to a certain point...where she pays you no mind completely,refuses to comply with even the smallest of compliance ...then it's good to eject.I believe those are the right times to eject .There may be others .

Note that most chicks at times don't know what to tell you especially during the opening phase though they may be interested.You could have asked her a question and see if she responds if she doesn't make a cold read about her ,see if she lights up and agrees or corrects you.Then get things going forward from there.Maybe move her or get past small talk.

If she is non-responsive or rude...wish her a good day/night and walk away.

About harassing chicks ...as long as you aren't creepy or making things awkward,u shouldn't worry much.
