Blind Dates Play Truth Or Drink is a youtube series. Two people who have not met play a drinking game where they ask each other entertaining questions. They can either reveal the truth to these questions, or opt out and take a drink. Sometimes there is a lot of chemistry between the blind dates, and sometimes there is not. This post covers the episode of an interaction between Amalia and Andy. I provide some subcontext as to why Amalia is chasing Andy so hard. The video, for reference, is here

This particular scene looks to be from the ending of the interaction. His answer causes his attainability to go up and his value to go down. She thinks his kill count is harmless lol

He doesn’t qualify himself to her and is slightly challenging her frame, so he becomes a little unattainable. He could be looking for a daddy, but he doesn’t show it. She’s worried that she’s set the wrong frame, so she back-pedals and scrambles to widen the frame.
Andy is the higher value person here, for two reasons: 1) She’s dependent on him to lead the courtship in a fruitful direction now and 2) She was emotional and reacting, he was not.

She qualifies herself to his frame, which is wider than hers. When she qualifies herself, he rewards her - by touching her and relating to her, which is what she needs. His attainability drops into a sweet spot. As a result she has a strong emotional spike.

Amalia has another little emotional spike. Notice how Andy mirrors her vocal tones. This builds rapport. Pretty sure he was doing it on purpose.

He’s looking at her from the corner of his eyes, and still remaining unemotional. He made the right move to get more specific with his compliment. This shows he is not just saying it for the sake of saying it - he actually thinks she’s cute. If you’re a daygamer, always make sure to make your direct openers super specific.

She’s actively trying to build similarity and find reasons why they should like each other.

Good opportunity for Andy to take things sexual here - Amalia wants to be objectified. But he keeps it pretty platonic. This was an excellent move, because he made her feel a new emotion she hasn’t experienced with him before.

She recoils. Girls don’t like when you’ve been in love a lot. They view it as a sacred, special thing.
She’s probably already sizing him up for a relationship. So, he is disqualifying himself here. Her response is dismissive. Attainability is going down.

She grabs the question card out of Andys hand and puts it down. She knows the wrong answer to this question could reduce her value in Andy’s eyes. However, she knows she’s playing it right, which explains her matter-of-fact vocal tone and rush to have it over with so there’s no further opportunity for any value reduction.
She is taking the chance to see if Andy will reduce his value.
Andy goes on to explain a perfectly legitimate reason for his pregnancy scare and she melts.

Andy is just pulling a fake. He leans in to kiss her and it is passionate lol. This is a really good technique. He knew she was attracted, and did a push to spike her emotions before a big pull.
