To those that are not familiar with it, hyperhidrosis is the term for abnormally overactive sweat glands.

I'm not overweight, I eat healthy (more so than ever since I have to cook for myself) but I've got this condition from my family which puts an extra challenge in all of my social interactions. I've talked with a specialist and he told me I had the most severe condition he'd seen. The affected parts are the palms of my hands, underarms and soles of my feet. I would be extremely content if only my hands stopped sweating profusely in a random manner (I don't need to be in a stressful situation, e.g. as I'm writing this, there are sweat drops running down from my hands to my elbows), or even only my right hand to shake peoples hands and to be able to confidently hold a girls hand.

I know this isn't a medical forum, but this is a huge deal for my personal improvement and game. Fundamentals are really important: you can exercise to lose weight, get a new haircut, buy new clothes etc. The treatment for this condition isn't clear cut. I received around 50 botox injections on my hands in one session, which stopped my hands sweating for 5 months (and it felt incredible to shake hands with confidence) but this is an expensive procedure so I can't repeat it every 6 months. I decided not to have an ETS surgery(where they cut/clip off nerves in your spine) after reading the numerous patients who were worse off in terms of life satisfaction (reduced resting heart rate and problem exercising was common).

I would appreciate if others shared their experiences.

Re: Anyone Dealing With Hyperhidrosis (or other medical condition affecting game

I actually used to sweat a lot a year and a half ago. Like my armpits were soaking and it showed on my t-shirt. My lower back was sweating and it showed, even my legs and butt would sweat and show. I was wearing only black jeans and dark t-shirts.

Summer was hell and my forehead was sweating my neck, my hair was soaking.. And I'd overheat really fast. Like walking outside and stopping for sth and waterfall.

It all went away, when I:

- lost 110 pounds/50kg - any excess fat makes you sweat a lot
- practice yoga and meditation, and overall calmness - I used to be very nervous and I learned how to be calm and walk slow and move slow. Everybody tells me how slow I move and how calm I am at all times.

Those are the things that helped me. If you have any excess weight - losing it might help or being calm. Cause sweating comes from being hot and that mostly comes from nervousness and fast heart beat(which you slow down by breathing slow, deep and using you diaphragm).

This actually inspired one of the inventions I'm working on and will patent and put on the market. A small hand bracelet that brings down your body temperature and keeps you cool during the hot days. Though it's kinda hard to complete it and there are problems with creating it :D.

If though it's a medical condition, I have no idea. I know that a woman from my country - Bulgaria patented a product that helps with sweating from your armpits. And completely prevents wet spots on your shirts/t-shirts. I don't know what it's called in english but I can find out if you're interested.
