Chase's article of yesterday made me think of something which I have been using to great effect.

I have delved for some time in the subject of visualization, not expecting anything magical, but I was curious about what it would bring me and I wanted to be consistent. Because just as with meditation, changes do not happen overnight and a lot of things need maintainence such as with sports. Same deal. Honestly it seems to help.

I noticed that during the day everything can get quite serious which takes you out of a gaming mood. However when I visualize for 10 minutes, or even 5 minutes I notice that it gets much easier with approaching and closing. I seem to skip qualifying in my interactions so now I include those too in my visualization sessions.

It is as if it brings cognitive dissonance when you are not doing in real life, what you are doing during visualization. And ifthe brain hates something it is dissonance, either you have to stop visualizing or your habits will adapt to whatever you are visualizing about.

At the moment I am experimenting with visualizing with my work before I start the day. I am curious if it will provide the boost which I seek.
