Are short text responses a sign of auto rejection?

The title pretty much explains it, so are short texts a sign of a girl entering auto rejection?

In most cases it means that the girl is not interested I guess.

But, something happened in the past few days that I had to ask this question.

First girl I met about 3 years ago. She didn't meet anymore even though I wanted to. I gave her closure that I delete people from life who don't meet me, and never texted or called her after that. Then, made new FB profile this year and got request from her. She hinted me to give my number, but I didn't. Also, called her a 'friend' while wishing new year. Now, her responses are super short.

Second girl was my classmate. Haven't met her in 4 years or so. Saw her in bus 2 or 3 days ago. Then texted her on fb and the first thing she did was acknowledge my text and ask me for my number. Instead of providing my number, I told her how she woke me up in the middle of the night. Now, her text responses are super short. Gave her my number and asked her to whatsapp, but don't think she will cause I didn't the first time.

So, can auto reject cause a girl to send super short, disinterested, aloof texts?

But also a mix of disinterest in there as well. It seems you just didn't I've forward in a smooth way and they lost interest.

Oh okay, that might be it.

So it might be a real rejection lol and not an auto rejection.

But anyway, they are still responding which signifies interest. Ask for a meet up ASAP. Rejection can't happen, auto or otherwise, until you get a no from the next step forward. So far you haven't gotten a no, so there is no true rejection here at all. Always push for a true rejection or a the next step. It will always be one or the other, no use in contemplating reactions, only results.

True, the second girl returned text and has agreed to meet. Although no specific date is set yet. Let's see.
