So after working on my fundamentals over a year ago I would sometimes get "are you gay?" From a girl in either an aggressive or casual way. Now back then at first I was a little shocked because even my friends (males and female) would get confused by that remark when it happened in front of them. I would laugh it off and carry on, I was getting laid (even if not as frequently as I wanted) so I guess it didn't touch the ego.
So it still pops out every now and then and last night it happened again but this time I actually thought about it. My conclusion was;
1) I don't seem attainable and they are slipping to AR.
2) A way of calling me handsome without being socially shot down.
When I have looked back this only happens when in groups and I figure it only slowed down because the better I became the faster I moved the interaction to one-on-one. Last nights was;
Her: I think you could be gay...
Me: *slow smirk*
Her: I mean you have a vest top on.
Me: *still smirking, raising eyebrows*
Her: I mean you must be either gay or a real man to wear a vest. Like...
Me: (I actually burst into laughter which interrupted her as she was very flustered and was getting even more exaggerated with hand signals).
So I guess my question is, does this happen to any of you? Any thoughts on why it happens? How do you deal with it?
