Hey guys...

Need some after action thoughts. Appreciate your help!

I went out with this girl last year June, but nothing much happened after that. We happen to be part of a grp and after a recent gathering she asked me if I'm interested to go for a concert.

I didn't had anything on that night and haven't been to a concert before, so I agreed. Turned out that I ended up going with her alone since the others were not interested. She has a bf now, though I believe he's not in town at the moment. And during the gathering she was complaining about her bf.

So yeah, we chat abit, had a good albeit rushed dinner before going for the concert. It was cool, kinda enjoyed ourselves. I didn't manage any physical contact though as I didn't feel I had enough time to build things up during dinner.

I did my homework though and scouted out a nearby bar a few minutes form the concert venue. Thinking I can try that "I'm not trying to be your bf". So I asked!

"It's Friday tml and I still have to wake up for work!"

We are both in banking (I was) and I'm quite sure she's been to drinks on weekdays before work the following day. After failing to convince her, we head for the train station and parted ways.

So...
1) Am I thinking too much?
2) I simply didn't try hard enough to make her stay for some drinks?
3) I screwed up something else I didn't realize?

I appreciate any feedback, thanks!

P.S. My apologies! I should have posted this in the Beginner's section...anyway to move it there?

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake

You should have been able to escalate some physical contact during dinner and a concert. That's got to be a couple hours you spent with her at least, more than enough time.
