Asking out a server

There's a girl that's been working the last few times I went to a sports bar I frequent. At first, I had my eye on a different girl, but I like the way this one carries herself and want to ask her out.

She's never been my server (I usually sit alone at the bar, she works the tables) so I'm not worried about it being awkward if she says no.

Just wondering the best way to go about it. My instincts, supported by what I've read online, are to leave a note so as to avoid putting her on the spot in front of people. However, this also seems very weak and cowardly, particularly as I'd have to have someone else pass her the note since she doesn't serve the area I sit.

And the place is very busy, so there's no chance of the slow get to know her approach.

Your thoughts?

Hey Limp, check out this topic viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3661 I think you shouldn't take them serious, it probably better to talk to a customer at the bar than a woman who probably get's hit on alot. Just my opinion.
