Asking whether date is on

Hey guys,

I wanted to ask one question. When I set up a date with girl, let's say, on Tuesday, and the date is on Thursday, should I write her a message, asking if her plans did not change and whether we're meeting, as if asking if the date is still on? Or will I look silly by writing her and asking her as if I'm chasing her?

shoot a quick text 1-2 hours beforehand telling her to meet you outside the cafe, bar or wherever you're meeting. Usually she'll comply.

A few weeks ago I didn't do this and girl didn't come to meet me. Meanwhile last week another girl agreed to meet me on a date and mentioned that we will communicate again on the day, when the date is due. I understood this as a sign that I must confirm to her that the date is on. So I'm learning a lot these days, thanks to this blog and it's community.
