Goal
I am continuing to work on adding sexual intent to my approaches.- STRONG eye contact, and visualize undressing her to add sexual intent
- Tease a girl within 30 seconds of approaching her
- End sentences on a downward inflection
From an older Field Report I should relax before starting my outing by meditating.
Outing
I went to a farmer's market at a popular shopping street again. When I arrived, I did a short meditation to relax before going out.Approach 1
While browsing the farmer's market, I notice a pretty girl. I get closer to check out some samples, and notice her move next to me to also try out the samples. I guess this might be an approach invitation, so I use the "I'm Glad I'm Not the Only One" opener shortly after: "I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes free samples." She laughs but continues to ask the vendor about the samples. I maneuver to try a different sample as well. I drop back around the same time as her and re-engage. "So what did you think of that one?"Unfortunately I don't remember exactly what we said, so these are the highlights.
We start chatting, and I tease her "So is this how you like to eat dinner? Do you just go around eating free samples?" She denies but laughs, saying she already ate dinner. Listening to her voice, I cold read that she is Canadian, which was wrong, so I then guess Australian. Also wrong, she was from New Zealand. We chat about how she is here for a work event, and she moved to another city in America recently.
We are holding strong eye contact but I don't see many signs of interest. However I get the feeling it is the time to move her, so I ask if she wants to sit down. I guess that she is slightly likely to decline, but discover I was wrong when she agrees. As we walk, she asks if I want to walk around, and I agree with her. We go try out a few samples at different vendors. I notice her holding strong eye contact and occasionally brushing her hair. I also screen her logistics and learn she is in town for 1 week, but will be very busy with work.
After doing a loop, we walk about how nice the area is. It looks a bit European, and I decide to show her a side street with some nice shops. She walks with me but I notice her body language is closed off with her arms crossed over her chest. I do some light touch on her elbow but try to focus on building comfort since she seems on guard. We talk about how she moved to Japan for work, lived there for awhile, and got tired of Asia and traveled to the US. I qualified her, "I like that you're adventurous, going out on your own even with it's scary to move to a new place. It's really cool."
She continues on about how she was tired of how toxic Asia was, and says it in a way that sounds bad. I tease her, saying "I didn't know they were so racist in New Zealand," with a smile. She rushes to clarify and I then relate, saying I lived in Tokyo for a bit and understood how difficult the work culture was and how strict the social rules were. She chimes in with agreement, saying "Yeah, especially for women." I tell her that if she likes breaking the rules a bit, coming to America was a great choice.
She asks what I was up to today, so I tell her I planned to visit the farmer's market and maybe grab dinner. We chat a little bit about food and I show her a neat acai bowl place nearby I like. She says there's no way I can eat just that for dinner, and I smile and tell her that I'm on a little bit of a diet. We're stationary now and she has dropped her arms so she's more open (I didn't recognize it at the time) and continues to hold strong eye contact and brush her hair. I sense I should end soon, so I say, "Well hey, I'm going to be grabbing dinner now...", and she responds positively. I continue, "We should grab a coffee sometime while you're in town." She agrees, and pulls out her phone on her own. I text myself and exchange numbers with her, then touch her bicep while smiling and saying goodbye.

Takeaway: Her proximity was probably an approach invitation. I forgot to screen her, and I didn't pay attention to my tonality or sexuality as I was supposed to. I did tease her, and although she seemed like a more neutral tone she responded when I asked for compliance which seemed good. I could have directed the conversation to be a bit more about her and added more chase frames. I'm also not sure how well I conveyed my interest since I used a situational opener this time, but I hope my eye contact expressed it correctly.
Approach 2
After the previous girl, I order dinner and hang out outside while I wait. While walking around I thought I saw a pretty girl looking at me. I take a couple minutes to maneuver around, pretending to just "check out" an ice cream parlor near where she is sitting. As I get near her I pretend to "notice her" and stop and look for a second. She is just getting up and about to leave at this point, so I quickly walk up and hold up my hands to do a frontal approach. "Excuse me...hi. I saw you sitting down over there" (I point back) "and I wanted to say I thought you looked incredibly beautiful."<I recorded this approach with a AI meeting notes app, which partially generated a raw transcript for me, so this is pretty accurate>
Me: I saw you sitting down over there, and I wanted to say I thought you looked incredibly beautiful.
Her: "I don't wear any makeup today. I am not beautiful today...but usually I am pretty beautiful."
Me: "You're usually pretty beautiful? Do you do modeling or something?"
Her: "Not today"
Me: "Oh, okay. What are you eating today? What flavor did you get? I was just checking out the ice cream."
Her: "Classic vanilla, classic vanilla."
<She is eating her ice cream, and continues eating throughout the conversation, sometimes not making eye contact while she is eating>
Me: "Do you get that often?"
Her: "No, no, no. This is my first time come here."
Me: "Okay, cool, cool. Oh, sorry. What was your name?"
Her: <Introduces herself>
Me: <Introduces myself>
Her: "Are you living here?"
Me: "Yeah. Well, not here here, here in the area. You seem...Japanese."
Her: "Yeah, I'm Japanese."
Me: "I don't know how I knew. I guess it's because I lived in Japan for a little bit. I was around a lot of Japanese people. You just kind of reminded me of them."
Her: "Ah...I see, that's nice."
Me: "What are you doing the United States? Did you move here? Or you just visiting?"
Her: "Oh no no no. I came here for work, and I've been here for three days, and then I'll go back tomorrow."
<This tells me her logistics are not good. Maybe I could have gone for same-day pull, but that seemed too far out of reach at the time>
Me: "Tomorrow? Wow, wow. What did you do while you were here?
Her: "I'm a flight attendant." <She tells me about places she's been recently>
Me: "Okay, wow, so you must travel a lot for your work."
Her: "A lot, Yeah, a lot."
Me: "Yeah, my, my cousin, he's a pilot, so he also travels around a lot."
Her: "I see, which airlines?"
Me: <I explain a little bit>. "Yeah, but that was, that was like 10 years ago. I don't know where he works now."
Her: "I used to be working at that same airline."
Me: "Oh, okay. Did you have a good time?"
Her: "Yeah yeah yeah...so are you Chinese?"
<I feel that it is about time I moved her. In retrospect it's also a good time because she asked me a personal question for the first time>
Me: "Yeah, do you want to sit down? It's kind of tiring to stand up and talk."
<She agrees and we sit down, despite her being just about to leave earlier>
Her: "So are you originally from China, or...?"
Me: "No, I'm from around here, from America."
Her: "Oh, really?"
Me: "Yeah, you're from...you grew up in Japan, right?"
Her: "Yes I did. So you are Chinese...do you speak Chinese too?"
Me: "Yes."
Her: <She says she speaks Chinese, in Chinese>
Me: <I say "Very impressive" in Chinese>.
Me: "Well. I also learned a little bit of Japanese too."
<I say "Hello, nice to meet you" in Japanese>
Me: "Yeah, I, I totally forgot, but I learned, I learned enough to survive in Japan."
Her: "Yeah...so what do you do for a living?"
Me: "I'm an engineer. So did you decide you wanted to be a flight attendant when you were a kid? Or did you just happen to be become one?"
Her: "No, I was originally working as an English teacher, then I became a flight attendant after that."
Me: "Oh, wow. Is that why your English is so good?"
Her: "Well...better than normal Japanese people."
Me: "Ah okay, I had some trouble when I was in Japan. With English. Well, you made the switch. Because you didn't like your job? Or you wanted to do something different?
Her: "Well, 'm currently working for private jet company in America. And I am very much enjoying it."
Me: "Yeah, yeah. Wow, sounds like really fun. I like that...you seem adventurous. You like to go new places, and you like to make a big change, do something different. I think a lot of people don't do that."
Her: <She laughs>
Me: "Yeah, do you...are you always working throughout the year? Or do you guys get time off?"
Her: "Um...I have some time off?"
Me: "Okay, okay, do you go back to Japan? Or do you go somewhere else?"
Her: "Well, tomorrow I'm going back to Japan. I've been working for 10 days in a row."
Me: "10 day, wow. That's a long time. That sounds like fun. Gonna do anything when you go home, anything to enjoy in Japan?"
Her: "Um, I not sure..."
Me: "What part of Japan are you from?"
Her: <She explains>
Me: <I relate to her>
<There is a short silence as the conversation comes to a lull. She is focused on eating her ice cream and has not been returning eye contact much for the recent conversation>
Me: "That looks delicious."
Her: "Mmmn, it is."
Me: "Yeah, actually, I got an order just now." <Checking the order notification on my phone>
Her: "Really?"
Me: "Yeah, I was waiting for it just now. And I'm gonna go grab it now."
<I receive out and give her a handclasp"
Me: "It was really nice to meet you just now. And hope you have a safe flight."
Her: "Thank you very much"
Me: I saw you sitting down over there, and I wanted to say I thought you looked incredibly beautiful.

<I receive out and give her a handclasp"
Me: "It was really nice to meet you just now. And hope you have a safe flight."
Her: "Thank you very much"
Takeaway: I used a lot of "Oh okay" responses that didn't add much to the conversation. I should have followed up with a related topic to drive deeper. I failed to tease her or use many chase frames. I did ask for some compliance and I was slightly expecting her to decline, but she accepted. She didn't make much eye contact with me and I felt like that might have been a signal of disinterest.
Approach 3
I see a girl walking ahead of me with a huge loaf of bread, and I jog up. I was having trouble finding a good angle and approached at a bad time, because there was a couple next to us on the right and a open door to a store on the left with a clerk who both looked at us as I said "Excuse me." I noticed she is not that cute from the front and looks confused. I pivot to asking where she got that huge piece of bread. I notice her returning eye contact and answering my questions without rushing off, so I didn't know if she would've been open to continuing the approach, but I thanked her and bid farewell.Takeaway: I need to procrastinate less when approaching to catch her earlier at a better spot. I might have been able to try pushing the conversation forward with a tease, with something like "So did you buy that bread for eating, or to use for yourself?" (With a smile implying it is sexual). Or something like "Oh, so how did you get away with smuggling that bread out from the market?" (Implying she didn't actually buy it)
Approach 4
I see a girl ordering in a coffee shop and I park myself at a table outside to "notice" her when she leaves. She does so, but she moves quickly and I need to jog a short distance to catch up. She stops at a bench to tie her shoes, which I take as an opportunity to walk up. The angles aren't good so I do a frontal approach but shift my body to face my side to her after. I notice she's not that cute from up close, but I say "I just saw you back in the coffee shop over there" (I point back) "and I wanted to say I thought you were really beautiful today."She is appreciative and thanks me, but continues tying her shoes and seems a bit nonreceptive. However her voice seems to show a positivity and appreciation. I continue on asking how she's doing, and she says she's actually in a rush. It seems like she is trying to eject, so I bid her farewell.
Takeaway: I didn't get a very good look at her when she passed, and I saw no approach invitations or signs of interest when she walked by me. That may be a indicator she wouldn't be interested in my approach. I also didn't tease her in time as I was supposed to. I could have teased her with something like, "Oh, you're rushing off to pick up another man so soon after meeting me?"
Approach 5
While walking through the mall I see a girl standing on the side of the hallway and looking for. I guess she might be waiting or with someone, and I get the feeling she is not open to an approach. However I test this by approaching anyways. Due to angle I am forced to approach from the front, however I shift positions to face my side to her. "I just you standing over there, and I thought you were really beautiful today. I loved your hair."She thanks me but seems closed off and not very reactive. I want to eject, but I continue forward a little bit and ask what she's up to. She's waiting for a friend to go shopping and maybe get food. I ask for some food recommendations. While she explains her friend walks up, another guy who looks confused. There's a brief tension and I say "Hi, I was just asking her about food recommendations. Do you have anything?" He doesn't, and I bid them farewell.
Takeaway: I predicted this girl would not be open and was waiting for someone, and I was correct. I guess she was with a boyfriend or guy she was dating, which is why she didn't react very much when I opened. I can try to remember her signs of disinterest for next time.
Approach 6
I circle around a girl on her phone I see in the food court to get a look at her from the front before approaching. She's pretty, so I walk up and say "Excuse me." However she apologizes, says she's on a call, and gets distracted by her call and turns her attention away. I accept it and move on.Takeaway: I'm not sure if I'm supposed to wait while a girl is on a call, or interrupt her, or circle back later.
Outcome
1 number close and 2 significant interactions today.I did a good job maintaining strong eye contact for the most part, but forgot to add sexual visualization.
I seemed to use a downward tonality but did not pay attention to it as I was supposed to. I got too distracted by the environment.
I teased a few girls but also missed opportunities.
Writing this Field Report took a long time due to the conversations. Leveraging AI transcription was a good idea but the raw transcript needed a lot of editing.
