I realize something.

Not every situation is easily transition to "deep dive". There will be social arenas/social circles/clubs where people won't be so open to you yet. I believe signs is very important. Looking out for people who are open and warmth, Chat up small conversations, Know what they can offer and a little bit of deep dive and laughters here and there. It takes an element of not pushing too hard. Some people just don't like deep diving. Value giving people sees investment, time and value you give to them before opening up. It's more nuance, it's hitting the right notes.

I love making friends with a girls who are fun, cool. and recently to cap off a friendship before i leave an organization, i met a cool girl who's super fun in personality. Not a girl i desire to sleep with but i would not mind anyway . But I just told her i like fun people like her to be around me since i am leaving. and she got me a gift after she went overseas a few days. Something simple but hey. We have good humor when we around each other. This is cool stuff.
