I know that it is "edgy" in the seduction community to look down on modern day music because it is so terrible and immature, this generation just doesn't know a thing!

I've gotten into listening to The Weeknd, Chainsmokers, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Machine Gun Kelly, and just about most artists you would find near the top of Billboard Hot 100.

For some reason, this has eased my transition into night game, it feels so much more natural now. I was at a bar yesterday night (and will be at one tomorrow night) and the song Closer by Chainsmokers came on and my mood was good for some reason. Ended up nodding my head, made eye contact with two girls, and they smile and did the same. I should have approached but one of them went over to me and said "you really like the song right?", ended up having a conversation about Chainsmokers with her and her friends which led to them bragging about how they saw them perform life.

Now I know a lot of guys on here want to be edgy and think it is cool to hate modern day music because the artists at the top of the billboard hot 100 are not "good music", guess I can agree with that, but it has made night game so much easier and natural for me.

Anyone else somewhat felt this way?

Oh, absolutely. So much this. Shitty music kills my vibe like nothing else, so being in a venue (or learning to like it if you have no other option) where they play shit you like it crucial for me.

I don't give a fuck if people label it as shitty music, I listen to Taylor Swift at the same time I listen to Metallica.

It's not new music vs old music, it's music that is congruent with mindsets that empower you vs music that defeats you.
I dont listen to music that is whiny or chasing or reinforcing mindsets/frames/styles I don't want to identify with. Listen to music that is achieving, winning, or vibes with what you're aiming for as your own style.

There's a difference between being in touch with a genre of music and actually liking it. It definitely makes it easier to connect with someone when you have musical tastes in common, and a lot of younger girls like music you hear on the radio or at the club. Even if you don't like a certain type of music, it does you no good to display that when everyone else is clearly into it. For example, I hate country music but if I'm at a line dancing bar, I'm not gonna stand there and pout. I'm gonna find a cute girl and spin her around.

I like what Parkour said about mindsets and music. Even if it's catchy, if the message brings you down or reinforces negative ideas that can germinate and blossom into bad habits, don't listen to that shit. Never heard a girl get upset at me talking shit about Twenty One Pilots. And "this generation's Linkin Park" often gets a giggle.
