Yesterday I was at a friend's company party which was packed with hot girls. I did at least 10 approaches, I kissed 2 and I got 1 telephone number and 1 email.
What I noticed anyway is that in contexts with a lot of people I am fairly good at opening, very good at repartee but I have some problems switching from repartee to deep diving. My teasing, provocative, playing side can't help kicking in while trying to deep dive. Some tips on how to correct that?
Another question: when you deep dive, how many topics do you cover in the conversation? Because I am very good at coming up with new topics but I have the impression that to succeed in deep diving you need to really develop a connection based on some shared topic the both of you can explore deeply. I have some problems sticking to the same topic for a long time, I feel that if I don't change topic the conversation gets boring.
There was this conversation with this very cute girl who gave me her email. I stayed 10 minutes in repartee (too much, right?) and then when deep diving I covered the following topics for around 4 minutes each
- Moving to another city
- Learning foreign languages
- Trips and Adventures
- Friendships and conflicts
- Difficulties of a Male-Female friendship
- Parents
- Kids
- Serious relationships vs casual relationships
Now I am thinking, maybe I should have sticked to 3 o 4..
