Fashion Big leather chelsea boots problem

As you guys know, leather chelsea boots break in after some wear. So when you find the right fit, how do you make sure that after a couple weeks of wear (once they break in), they won't be too big?

Note: I searched for an answer on style websites that I trust, but didn't find it, which is why I'm asking this here.
