First, this website is amazing.

Second, I was wondering if it is possible to write an article about the proper way to handle times when you just screw up. When you do something bad or badly and it is obvious you just screwed up. Like you were to arrange a weekend vacation and you totally bomb it or forget about it. Or you just do something unattractive and realize it was a mistake. For example, overreact with jealousy.

Should I admit and be apologetic about it? Do I try to explain myself and my motivations? Do I turn the "jerk"-mode on?

Thanks!

I think you're asking what to say to the girl?

Nothing really.

Sometimes when you are starting you feel like a single bad thing is a blow out. It's really not. If you go down one line of conversation and it's a dead end... just change it up... see if you can recover.
If she's STILL not giving you much, I prefer to just hold myself high, give her a tap on the shoulder and say I'll let her get back to her friends, nice to meet you and walk away with a smile on my face.

I saw Adam Lyons do that in a video on YouTube and it was really good what he did. Even if the girl is not that into you, you still leave the interaction so that it LOOKS like you had a nice conversation, were just being social and then go back to where you're going with a smile.
It's a big difference from other guys who panic, and then sulk back across the room, showing to others they have little game.
Worse again.... DON'T go into jerk mode. It helps nobody. You don't just look like a jerk to her, you look like a jerk to her, her friends and anyone else nearby who could possibly see/hear and in most cases the guy just looks bad.
