Chase and co,
I've ready quite a few articles on here and something that i keep coming back to in my head is this:
"What is the difference between chasing vs being persistent? When to give up?"
This appears to be a fine line that i can't really see. Two scenarios for me lately...
1) I met a girl, took her out on a long date one Sunday, there was no real close (peck on cheek) but we atleast socially had a really good time. She thanked me for a lovely day but didn't seem like the kinda girl that was too into kino. I could sense that she was gradually getting more touchy but very conservatively. I chased her up the following week, once the day after and once a few days after that. I didn't get a reply until a week after the first date, she said she was insanely busy and i knew this was the case from previous conversation. After that reinitialised conversation i asked her availabilty and she is away all week. I left the ball in her court and i've written that one off for now.
In this situation i am blatantly chasing right? I mean i'm the one dropping her the texts, initiating the conversations, trying to get her out. If i don't chase i could end up looking disinterested right?
2) In my other post lately i described a situation with a girl at work, she hit on me at a club, quite out of the blue. I wanna get her out to lunch or in the evening to move things along outside of work. However, if she is genuinely busy with XYZ work related things or is having a long weekend for example, how persistent can you be without chasing.
Is the difference between chasing and being persistent more to do with how you do it, rather than how often?
Thanks,
