Not a particularly crazy or interesting lay in itself.
Except... Except this is the same girl from this old post in 2014, and it's beautiful to close the circle, especially when in the past it left you hanging and disappointed (and I don't fume as much anymore these days, which is also great
.
Let's call her J.
After the night J left we connected on FB and in the course of the 2 days after I sent her two messages.. Which went unanswered... To a girl about to move back to another continent in a few days.
What were the chances?
Close to 0, but not 0.
THE USEFULNESS OF FACEBOOK
Facebook kept those chances alive by allowing us to stay in touch in a cool, non needy way.
I disagree with Chase here: Facebook is not only for orbiters/friends, it has a place.
And that is exactly it: it allows you to hang in the periphery until the rime is ripe again (and to gain some smaller points for non-chasing gallanteries like sending a happy bday message).
The time might never be ripe again of course. Maybe most of the times it won't.
But it's the only way to keep hopes alive with people who don't live geographically close. And even when they do live close, it's one of the few ways to stay in their mind without chasing.
Eventually, you keep adding women who were somewhat interested in that periphery and the time to strike again with (at least) some of them will eventually come.
As this was the case.
FACEBOOK PERIPHERY : HOW TO USE IT
I sent her happy birthday a couple of times as I do often to all the people I like / would have an interest in seeing again when I see there's a birthday (takes no longer than 5 seconds).
She replied.
Those are the first steps towards recovering from a non-sexual / not perfect encounter.
Then I wrote her when I was traveling around her area (first and very typical chance of striking again) but she was in a different city.
We exchanged a few messages.
This was the moment when I completley moved out of the "guy who was probably not cool enough to have sex with" zone.
Then a girl I am having (soon to be I was, but it's another story) sex with showed me on Facebook a guy she met whom she liked, and we had J as a common friend.
I didn't even remember J anymore, but when my friend left I checked our past communication and boom, I realized whom she was.
And she now moved in my same city!
That immediately gave us a reason to speak again, and now from a position of strength: I'm like an old pal and destiny is at play.
I sent her a message, we exchanged a few pleasantires and agreed on a time and place to meet.
We went for a beer, then back home, then I closed the circle.
All thanks to (a proper use of) Facebook.

At 9:45, she says at 10 she had to go to meet her fiend and that's the time when I, idiot, finally remembered it was to move towards home.

(...) but once in front of my building of course she went for the metro -that wasn't going to her destination- rather than for the "drink" at my place (...)
Of course I even paid for the beers, but it's like the cherry on the pie.

Learning points:
The mistakes above and, most of all, anger management, I'm so pissed I'd like to smash everything to smithereens.
