Co-workers... worth it?

Guys,
I got chatting to a great girl last weekend, really nice. Didn't realize at the time but apparently she has just started working at my company. Its a large firm but we actually sit on the same floor it turns out.
Its not really unusual to not know a lot of people near you as its a large company, many sites both in the city, out of state, etc...

We don't actually work together, our jobs are very different but I do know she appears to be on the same team as a few former friends (I've written a long while back about some former friends and dropping them due to their dramas.) I'm not sure this girl would discuss private matters with them but I do know the people in question tend to pry and would only love knowing this gossip.

Anyway, very little has happened yet. I hate the "this one girl" threads but the situation with our mutual aquaintances is holding me up... usually I'd have asked her out by now.

I have a few other girls I'm in touch with right now too, this one seems nice but unsure if its worth the potential drama if nothing were to come of it (or if something were to...)

Talk me out of it guys? Haha.

It's not that big a deal, unless your the boss of a major company, and she's in a position below you, but as you say you don't even work with her.

I'd say just go for it.
