Hi Guys!

Should you go to college? Yes

1)you want to buy time and learn skill.
2)Your minimum job land you at least $2000 bucks
3)You would not do odd jobs very much
4)If you get lazy, you use some of your salary and invest and you make it just fine

Bad things of college?

1)You learn theory skill but not practical skills
2)Doesn't necessarily do anything viable as interns
3)Office jobs pretty much don't do shit unless busy months like June, end of year and March
4)The likelihood of doing something else away from your specific is 70%. So what's the point of college?
5)You be doing odd jobs too
6)Government will deviate because they have to sustain the economy.
7)You are not so lucky. 1 out of 10 of you will do some odd job, with the rest doing something they do not like for most of them.
8)Even investments fail if you do not monitor them

Never go college?

1)You be doing odd jobs
2)You likely be an airline stewardess
3)You likely join the government and pretty much like college graduates. Only college students gets fucked over twice.
4)Your salary without college will be depressed with globalisation
5)Event jobs will be your meal tickets and it is fun
6)The likelihood of failure is high, although you see college graduates joining you
7)You probably get your girlfriend pregnant because it feels like you achieved something. (compared to college graduates, you are more likely to be bored with long term effort and no gain. So use a condom!)
8)Government will deviate because they have to sustain the economy.
9)You are not so lucky. 1 out of 10 of you will do some odd job, with the rest doing something they do not like/something different from their specific of study/financial or whatever consultants... for most of them.
10)Even investments fail if you do not monitor them

Sorry to burn some people :( i might be ill informed and/or less informed but this is what i have seen.

Glad you bumped this. I meant to post but forgot about it.

In my experience college is extremely important not for the material you learn but for the life lessons you learn. Community college doesn't apply because you still live at home.... 90% of the time. Being out from under your parents wing to make decisions on your own is really good for growth. Time management, budgeting your 50 dollars a week between food and booze :), living with the consequences of your decisions(grades). I went into college a kid and many of those lessons made me grow up really fast. My buddies who didn't make it to college.... did not learn those lessons.

In regards to material if you study anything I recommend business because everything is a business, well except government because they just tax us instead of become more efficient. Whatever you are into, by knowing how businesses function you are leagues ahead of everyone else.

I agree with most of what you said, but i did have a good experience with internships and know a good amount of people that got jobs because of internships or at least learned what they didn't want to do with their careers.

Good post :)

Glad you got good internships. For decent to half number of people, they dislike their internships. Overall, this post hits the nail on the head. ;)
