Hey guys,
Just a question to pick the brains of what you guys like to do.

I think I've become a little lazy in a few areas and just want to brush up. This one is like a catch 22. I started focusing a little more on women who show interest, or at least who interest me. If a conversation is a little dry, I'm out. I don't always see the pont in pushing on if she's not making an effort.

On thinking about it more though, I've become lazy in that area. I'm expecting the woman to do the work most of the time. Not what I intended but I think its just a result of having the same conversations over and over. I want a woman to say something new or interesting or different before I really feel myself investing.

So I think I need to get back to basics. I think some of the conversations with women are boring because I've stopped leading them. I'm not striking the right feelings or emotions to get some girls talking, but I think I got a little stuck last night. It wasn't fflowing at all when I started making a conscious effort to change topics out of nothing.

What do you guys think. Where do you like to take conversation to start getting some real feeling and talk out of women. Get them excited to talk about themselves? I feel the "What's your passion" is a bit over the top. It's a little full on to throw at someone you're just meeting and tends to make some people lock up.

Isn't that the point of stating an assumption? To generate an emotional response?

"I'll bet you are a real thrill seeker. You probably spent last weekend bungee jumping over crocodiles." Segway into the most exciting thing she has done.

"you seem like a real bookish girl. I'll bet you spend Friday nights at the library." Fishing for a strenuous objection...

I've had good luck talking to women about their career. Granted this is 40 year old professionals. Pathology Lab Doctors are surprised when you know they don't work with patients, just samples.

Heritage seems to be a good subject. Not a girl , but a female friend's husband was very proud of his family tree in Mexico that goes back to a land grant. I really struck a good emotional key with that topic. With a tall blonde girl for example you could ask if her great grandmother was a Viking princess, a red haired girl a Scottish Lass, An attractive caricature of them so to speak.

Travel seems to get some younger girls excited. Get them to tell you about backpacking through Europe after college, or the last minute trip to Belize. "I'll bet you have a bikini and a passport in your purse right now so you can go at a moment's notice."
