Hey guys.
So I am in a situation rn when I am seeing this girl (not for a long time so it might end at any moment but still), well she is closer to 30 so I guess we can call her a woman, she is a bit older than me and yeah she works at a local PD in a pretty shady city. Idk where it will progress but here is the deal. Women who work jobs that require some great deal of stress and dealing with shitty situations usually look for men who are even more stoic than themselves. I don't want to disqualify myself early in the process but I am not that strong in terms of character. My whole life I was going either after girls who liked me first or if I felt that I am in charge of the situation due to them being kinda inexperienced, that was pretty much my bread and butter this whole time. I never dated a woman older than me and in such type of job, she is very sweet but I could see through that she has some great deal of masculinity(for lack of a better word) inside of her. And I am in this classic limbo where I feel very relaxed and playful and secure around girls who I know that I have some sort of control over but here I am still scratching my head why she didn't ghost me after the first date cuz I was acting like I never been on a date before. We made out on a 2nd date but it didn't go any further, so maybe next time.
Basically, does anyone have experience with dating such type of women, any tips?
ps I just paid attention to what my nickname on this forum is, lol

She’s both older and masculine?

Is there an actual benefit to spending time with her as opposed to someone you seem like you would enjoy more?

Gives new meaning to the phrase "fuck tha police."

@Police dog, chicks with a masculine streak do not necessarily prefer more masculine men. I have known a fair few of these girls, and a lot of the time their dating history includes a bunch of skinny guys, nerdy guys, etc. I have talked to them about it and what they tell me is they date these guys because they feel like these guys "will not leave them" or "won't forget about them" and so on.

If you're going to date a chick with a masculine streak, you don't have to be some kind of steroid muscled über stoic super alpha. But you do need to be able to hold frame. The big difference between these chicks and other chicks is they will try to take the lead more often, try to push or pull you into things, and they have less tolerance for male emotionalism than less masculine women. So long as you know what you're about, what you will and won't tolerate, and are always ready to walk if need be, you'll be fine.

Also: dating older women is generally more of an "educational experience" as a man. So, I wouldn't necessarily go into this thinking "I have to be perfect already." If you're going to do it, I'd go in thinking, "This woman is going to help train and refine me as we go."

lol

Well he is saying she is late 20s... I dunno how old Police Dog is but unless he's early 20s she's probably not that much older than him. Should be fine for an educational experience.

Chicks with a masculine streak can still be pretty hot, so long as they aren't butch.

Every "masculine" girl I've shagged has still been quite girly. Think long hair, a high-pitched voice, a nice ass and usually big tits, typical female emotional stuff, etc. They just have higher libidos and are a bit more rational (when not otherwise causing drama).

Once I had a chick like this who used to claim she was "like a man!" I would just laugh and tell her, "Okay." I had fun with it though... she'd be bent over, screaming and orgasming, while I'd be taking her from behind, and then I'd lean forward and go, "Do you still feel like a man?" Or when she'd be giving drama, I'd stop her and go, "This doesn't seem like how a man would behave. I thought you were rational, like a man?"

Eventually she quit telling me she was "like a man", lol.

He said she’s a bit older than him. Kinda feels like he’s considering this chick more due to a lack of options than any real attraction. Could be wrong.

I laughed way to hard at this.

I’m from Ohio, our “masculine chicks” are actually manly. So when someone says a masculine chick I suppose I immediately think of the women here in Ohio riding around on motorcycles and being tabacco lol.

These are some excellent points, thank you for the thorough answer!
Well, I am not super emotional, so I think in this case it is actually beneficial. Anyway, new experience is always interesting and good for education like you said.

It is both. I moved for a job to the middle of nowhere (I made a post about this), and this particular one was sort of low hanging fruit, so if there is an opportunity I will go for it because why not. She is still pretty attractive and nice.
