How's it going guys? So I read Chase's article on being cautious about dating girls who drink party and club https://www.girlschase.com/content/why-i-quit-dating-girls-who-club-party-or-drink and was wondering if this advice also applies to girls who dance Salsa orBachata as a serious hobby but don't frequent regular clubs or parties to just socialize and hook up.

I've currently been dating a girl for several months who fits this description and wants something more serious. She's pretty much been screened for the other traits I'd want in gf (conscientious, good upbringing, accomplished ect.) and rationalizes that people at her level who are serious about dancing have less misunderstanding about "intent" during the Latin Dance Socials as they are supposedly more "controlled environments" with a set standard of etiquette. In short, in her head it's "just dancing" and nothing more. She also doesn't think it's acceptable for a girl or guy in an exclusive relationship to go to a regular club to drink and grind it up with other people.

I'm not completely sold on this but maybe I could be wrong here? Currently I'm also seeing a couple of other great girls (thanks to the material here), so I've not completely lost my thinking cap just yet. Would appreciate some input from anyone who knows something about the scene.

Cheers,
Jay

Can confirm that dancing can definetely be just dancing. From my experience the focus really is more on the dancing aspect, although things admittedly can get quite heated from time to time.

However usually there is not that much drinking, if at all, involved. Just removing this incentive makes it quite risk free, if the girl truly is committed to you. And yes I dance.
