Hey Chase,
I saw your reply to me that Franco forwarded in my inbox. I got the issue resolved now. As it turns out, the problem seems to have come from what app database system. I had a conversation with a girl on whatsapp and it turns out that I messed up somewhere so I decided to repost the conversation on here exactly as it is. Apart from the conversation, everything else I typed is just great. I just copied and pasted the conversation on Microsoft Word and typed up some supporting text with it.
As for me typing non standard English words, yes I did. In the Caribbean we don't speak standard English really. So me and the girl texted in broken English.
For example, instead of me saying
How are you?
I could say " Weh yu a deal wid?
Or
"Where is that girl I texted yesterday?" translates in my local language to
"Weh di gal de Weh mi txt yeserday?"
I speak 3 different languages and I'm learning French now. The language of romance..
I didn't give it any thought before that readers might not understand what I'm saying. I'm a fluent standard english speaker and writer otherwise. It's just a culture thing. Different countries, different languages. I should have retyped the whatsapp conversation in standard english before, maybe that would have helped or not caused this bug in the first place.
So I started retyping that what's app conversation and I'll be posting it on my new field reports coming tomorrow.
I already fixed the problem and my field report is looking great already. Lots more I have to say type up on it too. Over three weeks of extensive field reports I did in a notebook when my tablet was stolen. Everything is good otherwise though.
