Dealing with girls on Tinder, OKC, etc that want to be "friends"

Hi everyone,

was just wondering if anyone could give their input or thoughts about girls you meet online that mention being friends in the first few messages you have with her. I have come across a few girls who claimed they wanted to be just friends in some form or another, but some from my experience were cases where they were just saying this to justify themselves being on a dating site. I haven't actually met too many girls online who just wanted to be friends, but some will say things like, "Great, see you Thursday, would love to meet a new friend". My standard approach here is to pretend I didn't hear it, and to just push ahead and have found some good success this way. However, I was wondering what Chase or others would do in these cases, as it appears some girls who throw in mentions of just wanting to be friends could be just trying to shielding their egos. In a recent case, I just talked with a girl on Tinder where our conversation was along these lines:

Me: "How about you give me your number and we'll figure something out?"

Her: "sure, but I dont really text anyone aside from my bf or close friends -- if anything, we'll be close friends"

Me: "do you mean your boyfriend?"

Her: "yea but im single lol"

I was wondering how some of the more advanced members here would handle this situation or if it is one where I should just move along (red flags with the bf, etc)?

Thanks!

All you have to say when she says close friends is "we'll definitely be close friends ;)" Just friends is a typical test that girls will play and how you respond especially online can be a big part of what role they place you in (bf, lover, friend, etc)

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake
