Hello GC community,

I've been friends with this girl for the past 4 years (im in highschool),
And I've liked her a lot on and off.
I've tried to distance my relationship with her for the past few months.

After reading the friendzone and other articles on GC, I realized I was approaching this situation incorrectly. I fixed my posture, and stopped chasing her, among other things.

I read the post about how women's attraction to you goes down over time quickly, but would this rule still apply in this case?

What your recommendations for how I could win her over? Or get her to chase me?

Every time I've asked her for lunch or something else she said she was busy.

Thanks!

This is a lesson that took me WAY too long to learn... There have been plenty of girls in the past that I fell for who didn't like me that way back, yet I continued to pursue them.

Once you are in the friendzone, it is very hard to get out. Is it possible? Sure. Is it worth your time to try? No. Not at all. It's in your best interest to move on. You say that you've tried to set up meets with this girl but she keeps saying she's busy. Chances are, if she really wanted to go out with you, she would make time for it. My policy is try getting her out twice (or MAYBE three times). If you can't get her out after that many tries, move on. It simply isn't worth the time and effort.

And to answer your question about getting her to chase you... well, there's not one magical thing you can do to make her do that. Usually girls start chasing you when you don't really care too much about them and invest little to nothing in them. When they can tell you're invested, they definitely won't be chasing you.

There are plenty of fish in the sea and you're young. Stop calling/texting her trying to set up meets and go out and meet new girls.

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake
