This quote stuck out to me the most.
I feel like I know how to shut off my sympathy radar and have the same mindset you do towards psychopaths, to be as merciless as possible. My issue is, I feel like I lack creativity in regards to fighting back.
Someone I studied a lot is Trump during the 2016 presidential election and since you are an objective guy yourself Hector, I am sure you will have no ill will discussing him in context of this thread despite what he might have said about Latinos (my black and Hispanic friends dislike hearing his name). What I noticed he did best was actually call out the psychopath behavior he encountered and labeled it as crooked and nasty. I feel like this alone made him so successful in the presidential election against Hillary in the sense that he constantly called her out and had a decisive victory over here even though she played unfairly.
Now this is who has been my main guide in learning about defending against a smear campaign but I have to know of how you learn other tactics of dealing with such nasty human beings. A main one I am talking about is my former boss and here are some tactics I can see him using:
1. Getting former coworkers to try and actively ruin my life by gossip or trying to harass me out in public by trying to "talk", guess I can learn from stuckup girls to say "get lost", put headphones in or something of that nature?
2. Finding out about my new boss and social circle and starting a smear campaign behind my back.
3. One you pointed out, GUILT as a weapon. I can see him doing that a lot actually whether it is calling me a racist for my preference in women or me just being a white guy.
Which brings me to another big question, are some people genetically inclined to be weak and not be able to deal well with these sorts of nasty creatures?
If you make it far enough in any field, you will encounter psychopaths, and you need to be prepared. The only way to beat a psychopath is with savagery and guile. If you have not yet learned how to shut off your sympathy and act decisively, he will beat you.
