Did I go overboard with this text response?

Hey everyone,

Recently I have been starting to go out with this girl and often times she tends to text in random things about what she is doing or feeling, to the point where sometimes I feel like a response is needed. For example, recently during our first date there was a joke about how I didn't like blueberry panackes but she did, and so my text to ask her out for a second date to a place with pancakes went like:

...

Me: "Sounds good, does Wednesday 8 pm work for you?"

Her: "Sounds good, I think my brain will explode if I have to look at another powerpoint.

I had a little to drink at the time and I texted right back without thinking too much:

"Well try to keep your brain intact until Wednesday, unless you want to leave me with those blueberry panackes ;)"

After this, she didn't respond back and so I was wondering if this text is considered going too far overboard with banter. In most cases, how do I respond to random texts like the one above that sort of feel like it requires a response? Is it a test? Thanks!

You should be fine that text isn't really offensive so it shouldn't do much don't need to worry :)

I would have ended the conversation after he response, but I don't see anything wrong with your text. Besides, no text is going to make a girl reconsider a second date, unless you send some stupid, creepy, stalker, murderer type shit lol.

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake
