Big Daddy,
Interesting that you are wanting to cold call specifically. Most folks run at the sheer notion of calling strangers out of the blue. It is a good way to refine your persuasion skills as well as your frame control and learn how to communicate to people the main point that is relevant to them on the fly.
Almost all companies that create products/services for other businesses (B2B) have a team of sales reps that cold call and there are hundreds of thousands of companies that fit this bill. If I were you I'd go on
https://www.salesjobs.com/ and
https://www.flexjobs.com/ (the latter is all virtual jobs just search under the sales category and find a bazillion sales cold calling jobs you can do from the comfort of your own house).
I've done cold calling for a website design agency (calling marketing executives in small-mid size companies), an event company (calling people that have opted in on the email list for the company), and my own short lived house cleaning company (door to door sales.. whew thats rough stuff).
Off the top of my head a few companies that will almost always hire for cold calling include (SouthWestern Advantage (text books door to door), Aflac (selling to businesses face to face), and State Farm (similar to Aflac). You can make a good money if your really good at Aflac funny enough.
Anyway the biggest secret to cold calling that no one ever tells anyone is to ask questions. 95% of all cold callers just regurgitate their pitch onto anyone who will give them a minute of their time but the real secret is to get them telling you whats important to them (similar to talking to girls).
There are a bizzillion companies that desperately want to hire entry level sales reps to cold call that actually WANT to be there. Shouldn't be too hard for you to muster. Also I just PM'ed you about this topic.
Let me know if you have any questions.
