DOes marriages end because of money?

In Western societies, i am not sure if this is what is "hype" upon. But here, there seems to be this notion passing around that marriages end because of money. IS this really true? I am sure there is an element of truth in that but do let me know guys, how is it for Westerners, or perhaps your culture and how they like to spread this kind of news.

The most common reason western marriages are strained and end up in divorce is because of financial issues. Not necessarily gold digging problems or from lack of money but the couples simply aren't in agreement/have bad communication with their finances. Idk if you listen to Dave Ramsey the financial coach on the radio but you hear it all the time about couples getting divorced due to financial habits/decisions.
