I would say my theoretical knowledge of PUA would be that of an intermediate but my practical knowledge would be that of a beginner (I need to approach more)
I found myself in a situation today with about 30 random people all different ages I found myself on a table with two individuals who where women one about 40-50 the other probably mid twenties both women. I'm 18
Usually when I talk to women I try find a topic which we can relate or something I think they will have lots to talk about (reflecting on this I wouldn't recommend my old tactic as I probably ended up with very generic conversations) but this time due to the age gap I could not utilise the same method.
Here are some tips for beginners in the field which I realised from this experience
1. Listen to what they say ( I think chase or someone mentioned that the last thing they say is generally the more interesting bit and where they want the conversation to go don't quote me)
With this tactic I was able to get good conversation with the older lady as we talked about traveling and all sorts
2. Say what ever comes into you head
Although there were some good patches of conversation there where points which the conversation just died or I just did not have a response for the person which just left me nodding like an idiot or just looking at each other awkwardly which ended in silence or one of the trio breaking the silence with another thread of conversation.
During the awkwardness I looked out the window to the beach and saw waves so I decided to ask a random question which was "do you guys surf" after I did this pandora box opened
Comment on what I have said feel free to expand or link or tell us of other tips
Also I found that even though I knew the signs of interest and things about body language I still found it really hard to tell so some beginner practical tips for that would be handy. ( the younger one sometimes turned her body to me etc but sometimes her body language looked very closed so I was so confused)
