The parallels between the Abrahamic god and an alpha male is surprising and thought-provoking. From the time that I was able to distance myself from the religion I was raised in, I always thought there was a "bug" in our mammalian brain that made it easy for people to simply keep bowing to a powerful god that would keep them safe and make them feel powerful. I'll definitely check out the book as well.
